Opeyemi is the Finance Controller for the EQUAL project providing critical support in ensuring transparency, accountability, effective financial, risk management and compliance on the FCDO funded contract. She is a Chartered Accountant and a dynamic contracts, grants and financial management professional with over 18 years experience in overseeing risk, compliance, contract, grants, administrative and financial management of multi-donor portfolio with large budgets. Opeyemi has experience managing resources of donors like United states government (USAID and CDC), United Nations agencies (WHO and UNICEF), The Global Fund, European Union's European Development fund, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and funds from the German Government amongst others. Before joining IRC, she worked at Center for Clinical Care and Clinical Research(CCCRN) as the Director of compliance and Grants and Compliance Manager and with Catholic Relief Services(CRS) as Finance and Compliance Specialist and Finance and Compliance officer and at German International cooperation as an Accountant. She completed her Masters degree in Professional Accounting at the University of London and Bachelors in Accounting at the University of Abuja.
