Contracts Finance Manager

Martin is the Contracts Finance Manager at the FCDO-funded EQUAL MNH research consortium working in Nigeria, DRC-Congo, South Sudan and Somalia. His main role is to ensure high-quality financial and subcontract management across these complex awards. Martin works closely with project teams and partners to provide high-quality financial analysis, support budget realignments, forecasting and tracking, ensure timely and accurate reporting, maintain contract records, and ensure subcontractor's budget delivery and financials are in compliance with FCDO contracts.  

He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud examiner and is currently pursuing a Masters in project planning at the University of Nairobi. Martin has over 10 years of experience working with iNGOs including Merlin International, Family Health International, Options UK international and Amref Health Africa.

Martin has sound experience in financial management, proposal and budget development, commercial grants and cooperative agreement management, financial resources mobilization for projects and organizational capacity development, as well as efficient planning, monitoring, and analysis of project financial performance for optimal use of financial resources. He has experience in working with restricted donors, FCDO, USAID, CDC, Refugees Migration (BPRM), various UN Agencies, the EU/ECHO, DANIDA, GlobalFund, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Mastercard Foundation.
