Bethany Marron

Senior Advisor, Global Uptake of Simplified Approaches

Bethany Marron is a Senior Nutrition Advisor in Airbel where she leads a global consortium of NGO partners in a four-year contract with UNICEF HQ to provide global technical assistance on simplified approaches. She has over 10 years of experience implementing and advising on acute malnutrition treatment and leading related research on therapeutic foods, simplified treatment protocols and community health worker delivery. She has led the development and testing of a low-literacy toolkit for community health workers to deliver treatment integrated with iCCM and global technical guidance and training tools for simplified approaches, including treatment of acute malnutrition in the context of COVID-19. She holds a master’s degree in nutrition from Tufts University and she worked in Bangladesh, Sierra Leone and Kenya before relocating to New York City.
