Best Use of Resources Advisor, Education

Athena is the Best Use of Resources Advisor on Education for the IRC. In this role, she leads the IRC's cost research portfolio for the Education GRIP, Education ORLA and Education Technical Unit. She also leads cost-effectiveness analyses within Education, as part of impact evaluations run by the Airbel Research Team. This role has allowed Athena to work directly with researchers and country programs to conduct analyses across the Education sector. Prior to joining the Airbel Best Use of Resources team, Athena worked with various education, research and humanitarian organizations. She worked for the Goodman Research Group Inc as a Program Evaluation Intern, conducting data analysis to assist in the program evaluation of both local and national education programs. Athena has also served as a Mission Advisor to the Permanent Mission of Grenada to the United Nations and as a NYS PROMISE Grants Volunteer to the NYC Department of Education/District 75.  Athena holds a Master's degree in Education Policy with a focus on Global, International, and Comparative Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's degree in International Global Studies from Middlebury College.
