Ariana Schrier

Ari is the Research & Innovation Manager for the IRC. In this role, she supports strategy and planning, manages a range of special projects and initiatives, leads coordination and preparation for team meetings and events, and develops and manages key internal communications streams.

Prior to joining the Airbel team, Ari consulted with a range of humanitarian organizations and initiatives. She supported project management and strategy for IRC’s Ahlan Simsim early childhood development initiative in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria, led research focused on migration trends in Mexico for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors without Borders, and supported strategic communications and research focused on Venezuelan displacement in Colombia for Adapt Peacebuilding. From 2012 to 2019 Ari served as the Executive Artistic Director of Pipeline Theatre Company, during this time she led monumental organizational growth and productions received widespread critical acclaim. In recognition of this work, in 2016 Ari was named a 40 Under 40 Rising Star in the New York Nonprofit Sector by NYN Media.

Ari holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs with a focus on Human Rights & Humanitarian Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Theatre, Politics, and Applied Theatre from New York University.
