April Somboun
April Somboun is the Education Research and Innovation Manager at the Airbel Impact Lab. Based in New York City, she is supporting the implementation of projects across the portfolio of education Global Research and Innovation Priorities (GRIP) to reach last-mile children, parents, and caregivers, providing them with quality and sustainable education solutions.
April’s career has always been in the intersection of partnerships and marketing within the non-profit and corporate sectors where she created campaigns and in-school programs that benefited children and their families with a focus on economic mobility, financial literacy, and health. Prior to joining Airbel, she was on the IRC’s Afghan Priority 2 team and worked for organizations such as Scholastic and the Council for Economic Education.
She holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a Bachelor’s from the University of Washington.
