Research Analyst

Abel is a health and humanitarian data specialist with extensive experience in Health research and informatics. He is a research analyst, supporting the implementation of various data science solutions for the International Rescue Committee’s global nutrition program as well as integrating the solutions to provide analytics that inform decision making. He holds an MSc. Humanitarian Practice from University of Manchester and a BSc. (Health Information Management) from Kenyatta University. Abel has in past served as data manager and field operational research (OR) focal point at MSF as well as several health science and humanitarian consultancies in Nigeria, India and Somalia. Abel has spearheaded innovative solutions including the Creatinine software application, overseeing the successful implementation of the District Health Information System (DHIS 2) for patient-level data management, and customization of mobile data solutions to suite local data collection needs.
